“Becoming other” is based on The Hero Within: Six Archetypes We Live By by Carol s. Pearson, which outlines six archetypes as characterisations of complex emotions: the Orphan, Innocent, Warrior, Wanderer, Altruist and finally the Magician. each serve a purpose as a guide to aide us on our journey to self - realisation and a road map for the visualisation of our mental landscapes. on the cusp of adulthood, i feel stuck between expectations of who i am and who i was. “becoming other” is a representation of the fundamentally human but fascinatingly grotesque process of growing up, and the elements of self that evolve in the process.
